While an art student at the University of South Carolina, I secured a part time job as an exhibit artist for a new zoological park in Columbia South Carolina that quickly turned into a profession. After a successful career, I enrolled at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore Maryland in pursuit of a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art degree with the intention to forge a new career in academia. In preparation, I maintain a creative art making practice, exhibit widely, and teach a variety of courses for the Asheville Art Museum and the Spartanburg Art Museum.
